“Sisters are like stars in the night sky, guiding us through the darkness and lighting up our lives.”
Raksha which means protection and Bandhan which means bond. Thus Raksha Bandhan is a bond of protection given by a brother to his sister. On this auspicious day, sisters tie a thread on her brother's wrist and pray for his long and prosperous life. In return, the brother gives a token of love to his loving sister. On this day brothers make a promise to their sisters to protect them from all harms and troubles and the sisters pray to God to protect their brother from all evil.
On this auspicious occasion we at our Farm School celebrated Raksha Bandhan to make learners understand the true essence of this festival and the sacred relation of a brother and a sister. Learners came in ethnic attire to the school and little girls tied the rakhi on the wrist of their classmate boys with great enthusiasum.
Learners also tied Rakhi to trees to spread the message that we have a responsibility to protect Environment form getting hurt. This way learners spread their love towards Environment
All the girls tied Rakhis to Boys and our security guards which was really delightful sight. They celebrated this festival with great zeal and fervour their pious bond of affection. It conveyed the message of purity, unmatched bond of love, care and respect between siblings.
