Diwali is known as the Festival of Lights. It is also called Deepawali, which means a string of earthen lamps. Diwali is a time to have fun with friends and family! People exchange gifts and sweets, enjoy delicious feasts, watch firework displays and wear new clothes. It is time to remove the darkness of ignorance within us and replace it with the light of hope and knowledge instead.
The celebration of Diwali at our school, we gave the festive look to whole school with Diyas and lanterns. Function started with a beautiful prayer to the almighty and genius thought that filled our hearts and minds with love and harmony followed by dance performance. Learners showcased the spirit of Diwali through a mesmerizing dance performance and enthralled the audience with their graceful moves. Educators also shared the story of Diwali, it is celebrated to mark the day Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile, after defeating Ravana. Since then, Diwali has been celebrated with the same spirit.
The Principal Ms. Neepa Patel shared the guidelines of environment-friendly options for celebrating Diwali. Wonderful presentation instilled a sense of victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. Learners made beautiful Diwali Card for their family.
Last day before Diwali Vacation ‘DABBA PARTY’ was held for the learners wherein they brought sweets and snacks from home and enjoyed with their friends and made a day blast. They also shared the unique experience with their classmates.
The function was concluded with a message that children should celebrate pollution free Diwali in its purest form by lighting the lamps and sharing with less fortunate.
