History
Smt. S.H. Gajera Charitable Trust was established in 1993. Laxmi Diamond is a big name in diamond industry, but President of the Gajera Trust, Shree Vasant H. Gajera (Chairman, Laxmi Diamond) has different vision and Goal for society. His vision is to provide quality education to each and every child in the society, irrespective of social or economic status at reasonably low fees and no Donation. Initially, Gujarati Medium Primary school was started as Gajera Vidyabhavan at Katargam in the year 1993.Â
With the change of trend in the society, about giving education in English Medium, need of good English Medium school arise in Katargam area. Merely with 210 students Primary Section was started in June 2000 and later on, in 2002 Secondary Section was started, which is now having almost 1000 students in Secondary Section. In addition to that Higher Secondary classes for Science and General Stream are also started and have almost 350 students.
Silent features of the school are as under:
- SCE (School based Comprehensive Education) is introduced and with that approach towards learning becomes more practical and Unit-wise continues evaluation is done in the form of Formative Assessment (FA). Also Summative Assessment (SA) is conducted at the end of each Semester.
- Students takes part in various activities like Aerobics, Dance, Music, Karate, Yoga, Volleyball, Basketball, Skating and many students have achieved recognition at State and National level.
- Consistently, School is getting 100% results in SSC Board exams as well as Science and General Stream in Higher Secondary Board Exams.
- School provides all modern facilities like Computer Lab with latest software and hardware, well equipped Chemistry, Physics and Biology Labs, Audio-Visual Room with latest software and perfect set up for lower as well as higher classes.
