On July 20, 2024, our school, Shree H. J. Gajera, Secondary and Higher Secondary Section English Medium School, celebrated the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima with great fervor. This day is dedicated to acknowledging the selfless contributions of our Gurus, who have played a pivotal role in shaping our personalities, intellect, and character.

As we gathered for a special assembly, our principal, Dr. Ritesh Agarwal, delivered an inspirational speech that highlighted the importance of Gurus in our lives. He emphasized that a Guru is not just a teacher but a mentor, guide, and philosopher who helps us navigate the complexities of life.

To express gratitude and respect, the students put tilak on their teachers, symbolizing the reverence and admiration for their hard work and dedication. This gesture was a heartfelt expression of love and appreciation for the tireless efforts of our teachers, who have been instrumental in shaping us into capable individuals.

This thought-provoking couplet by Kabir emphasizes the significance of the Guru in our lives. It is the Guru who enlightens us about the Ultimate Reality and guides us on the path to self-discovery.
To commemorate this occasion, we organized an essay writing competition on the topic “Guru.” Many students participated, sharing their thoughts and reflections on the role of Gurus in their lives.
As we celebrate Guru Purnima, we pay respect to our teachers, who have been our beacons of knowledge, guiding us through the journey of life. We salute their tireless efforts, dedication, and selflessness, which have made a profound impact on our lives.
