” Sunrise to Sunset, Farmers Lead the Way”
Farmers Day is a wonderful opportunity to teach little learners about the importance of farmers and their role in providing the food we eat every day. The celebration aimed to create awareness among children about farmers for a healthier life and to motivate them to do farming. We celebrated this special day with fun, hands-on activities, colourful decorations and many more.
Gajera Farm School celebrated National Farmer’s Day to create awareness among tiny learners on the farming for a healthy and prosperous nation. It was to promote and increase the consumption of organic food among Indian citizens. The children came dressed as farmers, wearing turbans and boots. Some even brought toy farming tools like rakes and shovels.Â
The day start with a story about the life of a farmer. The campus was transformed into a Gajera Village, complete with hay bales, wooden cut-outs of animals like cows, chickens, and sheep, and showcasing real fruits, vegetables, and crops in field. Children also helped in creating a large mural of a farm landscape, complete with a barn, tractor, and bullock cart. Educators explained them about the ‘Journey from wheat to roti’ like planting seeds, watering, growing crops and how to prepare food from it. Children brought delicious food items in their lunchbox. . The children loved this food that farmers grow, making it a truly “farm-to-table” experience.
Celebrating Farmers Day was not just about fun—it was about fostering respect and gratitude for the hardworking farmers who nourish us. The day ended with happy faces, dirty hands from planting, and a newfound appreciation for the world of farming.
