Navaratri is one of the most vibrant and spiritually significant festivals celebrated in India. The nine-night festival is dedicated to the worship of the Divine Feminine, and each of the nine days is devoted to a different form of the goddess. On the eighth day of Navaratri, we celebrate Goddess Maa Mahagauri. In this blog post, we’ll explore the significance of Navaratri Day 8th  and delve into the mythology and rituals associated with Goddess Mahagauri.

During Navaratri, devotees gather to honour Goddess Mahagaurion Day 8th. In Hindu mythology, Maa Mahagauri is considered the goddess of peace and happiness. Worshipping her calms the mind and brings happiness and prosperity in life. Maa Mahagauri is also considered the goddess of youth and beauty.   • Purity, and rides a white bull named Nandi, representing strength and devotion. Goddess Mahagauri is depicted as a beautiful, serene figure with a radiant white complexion. She wears whiteclothes, symbolising purity and rides a white bull named Nandi, representing strength and devotion.
  • She has four arms, holding a trident and a damaru [a small drum] in two hands, while the other are in abhaya [fearlessness]   and varada [blessing] mudras.
  • Her white garments and fair complexion reflects her pure and divine nature.
  • Mahagauri is often associated with the moon, which also signifies peace and calmness.
  • Despite her gentle appearance Mahagauri’s divine power can remove obstacles, cleanse negative energies and grant liberation from worldly suffering.
  • Her presence brings a sense of tranquillity, clarity and devotion.

With having highly devoted bhakti, Sadhana and devotion for Goddess Mahagauri   Gajera Vidhyabhavan, Katargam celebrated Navaratri Day 8th in association with ‘SUNIAT MAKER’S SPACE with having a special theme Goddess, Nature & Environmental awareness. On October 11th, 2024 (Friday) in Assembly Area.

  • Arti:Aarti, a ritual of waving a lit lamp in front of the deity, is performed with devotion and reverence by Campus Director Gulab Vasani, Principals of all higher secondary wings with more than 75 students of the same.
  • Offerings: offer flowers, sweets, and fruits as a symbol of gratitude. Black gram and rava halwa (semolina pudding) are considered quite auspicious in Ashtami puja; hence make sure to prepare that as a part of Bhog Prasad.
  • Vigilant Warriors:-A workshop on self-defence has been organised in conference hall of shree Gajera Vidhyabhavan as the one of the auspicious part of the Navaratri Celebration keeping woman power in the centre.
  • Speaker &Host:-workshop has been hosted and address by Vaishaliben Devare(ASI-(IUCAW ) Katargam, Shraddhaben Shah(Socialist, legal awareness(DLSA- Surat district court)with kajalben kishanbhai  and Sonaben shivaram Bhai.

Empowerment through Self-defence for girls’ students Rationale Empowering girl students to fight back against crime has been the call of the day. In this modern era, violence against girl students has been very common in every street of both rural and urban setting. Small kids, girls and even women members are feeling insecure the moment they are out of their homes for any purpose for that matters. It is very important for every girl and woman to get prepared mentally and physically well equipped with required skills and techniques to defend oneself from any kind of antisocial element prevailing in the society today. The paradox of self-defense is that the more prepared you are, the less likely you are to need it.

Speech on Ratan Tata– A homage to given honouring Ratan Tata with speech by students of Gajera Vidhyabhavan. Who dedicated his entire life for the development and upliftment of the nations and societies.
