“Brothers and sisters are closed as hands and feet” – Vietnamese Proverb
Raksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. To celebrate the day the learners of class 1st and 2nd in Shree H. J. Gajera English Medium School, Primary Section brought rakhis to tie on their classmate’s wrist and they received sweets as gifts. Also to enhance creativity among the students the school organized Eco-Friendly Rakhi Making Competition for standard 3rd to 7th on 28th August, 2023.
Students displayed their talents and made various colourful Rakhis that exhibited their originality and creative little minds. They used decorative materials, stars, mirrors, pearls, matchsticks, waste material, ear buds, craft material and flowers for making beautiful rakhis. The participants were judged on the following criteria – Presentation, Creativity, neatness and material used. The judges of the competition were the art instructors, Mr. Mrugesh Patel, Mr. Kiran Makwana and Ms. Hetal Gamit.
The purpose of arranging such kind of competition was to explore their creative minds and bringing out their hidden talent of the students that lies within. In addition to this, it is also served as a platform for the rightful exposure of the students by overcoming the fear of being judged throughout the performance.
