Today marks a momentous milestone in the nation’s history as we celebrate 75th Republic Day on January 26, 2024. This year, the grandeur of the celebrations is amplified as the country commemorates its diamond jubilee of becoming a sovereign democratic republic.
The theme for this landmark occasion is Viksit Bharat (Developed India) and Bharat- LoktantrakiMatruka (India Mother of Democracy), reflecting the nation’s aspirations and democratic values.
This day was celebrated in our school with great éclat. The school building was tastefully decorated with flower-pots, buntings, pictures of heroes of the freedom movement and national flags.
The N.C.C. cadets lead all the dignitaries for the flag hoisting ceremony. School TursteeMr.Chunibhai Gajera Sir, Mr.Manmohan Sharma, other dignitaries, accompanied by the Principals of all the sections unfurled the national flag amidst loud cheers. Flag hoisting was followed by the National Anthem to pay tribute to the motherland.
The campus came to life with the unforgettable and heartthrob patriotic songs, dances performances by students.The Chief Guest in his address highlighted the significance of the day, and made the children aware that the future of their country lies in their hands. Further he added that everyone should become a torchbearer for a positive transformation to occur in the nation – building by every little means they can. If this happens, India would behold an optimistic Domino effect and touch the zenith in the futures to unfold.
It is rightly said that if you are a blood donor, you are a hero to someone.In connection with the Republic Day Celebration, Blood Donation camp was organised on 25th January, 2024 Thursday, in which 189 units of blood was collected. Those who donated blood were issued a certificate. It was heartening to see so many people coming together for this noble cause. The event was successful with participation from teachers, staff, LD staff and parents.
Gajera Trust is one of the most compassionate Trust towards its employees. The generosity of this trust can be recognized by its noble cause to pay tribute to its employees who are no more in this world. A cheque worth Rs. 2 lakhs were given to the families of those employees who departed for their heavenly abode. A felicitation ceremony was also organized for those students who represented school in various games at National & International level.With a couple more cultural items, the function ended with great enthusiasm.
